After a brief hiatus during which I did nothing exciting enough to blog about and spent most of my free time wedding planning, I am back to blogging on a (hopefully) more regular basis.
First of…. What are your thoughts on this winter? I have had mixed feelings about this winter. I loved the fact that I never slid on ice and hit a curb or got my car stuck in the snow. I also enjoyed the lack of frigid cold temperatures. I disliked not being able to cross-country ski, especially since I got new skis last year. I also got new La Crosse winter boots that are super warm, but I never had a huge need for them. I was supposed to go winter camping, but that never happened either. I did get in a few winter hikes here and there, but that is about all. This past Sunday, I enjoyed sitting in the sun by the lake with a beer watching the fishing tournament. Even though it was an ice fishing tournament and there were no sounds of lapping water on the shore, it could have been late April!
So, since this winter has been a bust, I am looking forward to spring. I am looking forward to hearing frogs, running a half marathon (more on that later) taking the canoe out once we have a clear spot (more on that later too!), heading up north, and getting hitched
Here are two photos, yes, only two photos of this Wisconsin winter that I like.
